How Your Night On The Tiles Could Provide Home Décor Inspiration…

How Your Night On The Tiles Could Provide Home Décor Inspiration…

When you pick a venue for a night out you will consider many things – the quality of the food and drink; the location; the convenience; the ambience – but have you ever considered the tiles?

The answer is almost certainly no. However, we are sure you will have noticed some of the features and décor within the bar – from the neon sign featuring song lyrics (mounted on stunning hexagonal, metallic tiles ) to the pub name emblazoned in a floor mosaic; the 3D bar front, to the decorative pattern around the base of the bar, or even the tiled tabletops in the beer garden. And all of these standout features are enhanced by the creative use of tiles.

Tiles are no longer the preserve of bathrooms and kitchens. They can be used to create a feature wall or as a statement to draw attention to a part of the room; to create texture contrast; to border an area or to create an indoor-outdoor flow. And the hospitality industry is leading the way in using tiles to make their venues stand out from the crowd.

Having been hit hard by the pandemic and the subsequent cost of living crisis, pubs, cocktail bars and restaurants are now fighting hard to entice you back and to part with your hard-earned money by undergoing refurbishments that include bespoke tiling installations to grab your attention.

We have had the privilege of working on some amazing projects – alongside partners such as Fusion by Design who specialise in the leisure and hospitality industries – to create some stunning tile work.

And that work can provide inspiration for residential projects too – whether it is stunning zellige-style oblongs on your home bar, a bespoke splashback above the range cooker, adding bright patterns or Spanish-style around your garden kitchen, or Victorian mosaics in your porch or hallway.

So while you are enjoying an Espresso Martini, tucking into your pub lunch or catching up with pals over a pint, check out the floor, the walls, the table tops and bar front and see what you could do with tiles to spruce up your home.
